The idea of entertainment has taken a 180 degrees turn among Nashikites as compared to the year 1995. • Theater groups in the city are making a big name in state-level competitions and thereby giving the citizens another option to do something productive in the theater industry

• Weekend parties are now organized more often among friends to relieve stress

• Women have broken out of their shell and besides kitty-parties they are at large involved in social networking and working for social causes. Yet people at large go to the cinema. Besides, after the multiplexes emerged, people were provided with an opportunity to watch a film show any time than the usual 12 noon, 3 pm, 6 pm and 9 pm shows.

For spending quality time people go for excursion to nearby places like Pandavleni, Someshwar and Tapovan for exploring nature. A few years back Phalke Smarak had become a hot spot for families as well as for groups of friends. Slowly even the craze for Phalke Smarak vanished and craze for malls began.

The scenario of theatre in Nashik is still the same. Besides, Kalidas Kala Mandir and Parshuram Saikhedkar Hall even Dadasaheb Gaikwad Sabhagriha is well established
